This painting emerged from an experience I couldn't explain at the time.
Something shifted inside me—deep, radiant, and unmistakable. Only later would I come to understand it was Heart-Brain Coherence. But when I painted this, all I had was the vision.
From the forehead of a barely visible, cartoon-like face, cream-colored rings of light radiate outward. They aren't golden—they glow like soft firelight or bone-colored energy, quietly pulsing with a healing rhythm. The figure may blur at the edges, but the energy remains—gentle, luminous, and unmistakably alive from within.
A dark, winding, 3D path cuts through these rings—erratic, alive. It rises and dips like a floating thread of consciousness, and along this path are small platforms: miniature cities, circuitry, steps in awareness—connection points between ideas.
Layered over the whole image in a thin, hand-drawn labyrinth, no more than1/16 of an inch wide. It maps the entire experience like a nervous system made of paint—a visual metaphor for how insight winds its way through mystery.
This was resonance without explanation. A frequency I felt before I knew what to call it. It was my coherence before language—my "Resonance Unknown."
