This painting emerged as a surprise to both artist and client, revealing possibilities beyond expectation. The process proved equally transformational, expanding the work and the one who carried it into form.
This commissioned piece was created as a deeply personal gift from a father to his daughter, timed to arrive during a meaningful moment in her life. While the title, imagery, and visual details are shared here, the written message that accompanied the artwork was delivered as a sealed scroll, sent with the painting itself. That message was created specifically for the recipient and is meant for their eyes alone.
My commissioned works often include these private, personalized writings—reflections and insights that emerge during the creative process. They are not shared publicly, out of respect for the individual transformation each piece supports. Permission was requested and granted to display the artwork on my website, but the private written component remains confidential, as intended.
